What Can Churches Do To Motivate Veterans To Serve Christ?

As a Pastor I am always looking for ways to motivate our people to serve Christ in ways that they may never have thought of. To help them overcome the fear of stepping out and serving Christ in the Harvest Field I try to explain what Gal. 2:20 means.

Galatians 2:20I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (kjv)

In essence, it is not the believer that is stepping out, rather they are letting Christ step out, through them, by faith.

The first step to motivating your Veterans would be prayer for workers to be sent into the harvest field. Then inform, by sharing that over 28 Million Veterans are needing a friend to walk with them. We know that friend to be Jesus, but most of them do not.

Share with your Veterans that on any given night, over 200,000 homeless Veterans are sleeping on the street or in horrible conditions.

Then share our Web Site ChristForVeterans.com with them and let us point them to areas of ministry they may never have thought of. It doesn't cost your Church a dime and this ministry has already produced fruit through salivations.

Remember, Jesus said in Matt. 25:37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

Please share this ministry with your Veterans, family members or anyone who feels called to reach out to Veterans in the name of Jesus!

Blessings on all that you do!
