Local veterans groups run from exclusive to all-inclusive - Newton, KS - The Newton Kansan
Editor's Comment
At Christ For Veterans we realize that any group supporting Veterans, must serve ALL Veterans. We desire to be all inclusive and we are pleased to see that others are getting this point also!

What Can Churches Do To Motivate Veterans To Serve Christ?
As a Pastor I am always looking for ways to motivate our people to serve Christ in ways that they may never have thought of. To help them overcome the fear of stepping out and serving Christ in the Harvest Field I try to explain what Gal. 2:20 means.
Galatians 2:20I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. (kjv)
In essence, it is not the believer that is stepping out, rather they are letting Christ step out, through them, by faith.
The first step to motivating your Veterans would be prayer for workers to be sent into the harvest field. Then inform, by sharing that over 28 Million Veterans are needing a friend to walk with them. We know that friend to be Jesus, but most of them do not.
Share with your Veterans that on any given night, over 200,000 homeless Veterans are sleeping on the street or in horrible conditions.
Then share our Web Site ChristForVeterans.com with them and let us point them to areas of ministry they may never have thought of. It doesn't cost your Church a dime and this ministry has already produced fruit through salivations.
Remember, Jesus said in Matt. 25:37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
Please share this ministry with your Veterans, family members or anyone who feels called to reach out to Veterans in the name of Jesus!
Blessings on all that you do!

Wyoming - Do They Care?
As we gathered resource links from various states we found some with great, easy to use and sincere websites for Veterans. When we got to researching the State of Wyoming we were disappointed that we could not locate any Veterans Site at all!
We wrote a letter to the Governor's office and to their credit, we received the following reply today.
Pastor Steve Kreins Thank you for your email message to Governor Freudenthal
dated October 18. 2010. I'm the Director of the Wyoming Veterans Commission
and I have been asked to respond to your inquiry. The Wyoming Veterans Commission does have a web site,
we have pages on the Wyoming Military Department web site. This is a .mil domain and some browsers and AV packages
identify it as suspect. I can assure you it is quite secure. Unfortunately, for reasons out of our control, the servers for
this web site have had troubles with access from none .mil domains. We have IT folks working the issue and should have it
resolved soon. We are exploring ways to move our web site to a state domain to
ensure easier access by the public. Thank you for your inquiry and the work you are doing for
our Veterans. Larry D. Barttelbort COL, USA (Ret.) Director Wyoming Veterans Commission Office (307) 772-5016 Cell (307) 631-0812 FAX (307) 772-5202 Email lbartt@state.wy.us E-Mail to and from me, in connection with the transaction
of public business, is subject to the Wyoming Public
Records Act and may be disclosed to third parties.
We appreciate Wyoming's efforts and we ask you topray for this State and others who fall somewhatshort of Veteran's Resources. We will continue to monitor Wyoming and other States to see if action is necessary to motivate every State to better Veteran's Assistance Programs.

Christ For Veterans Is About To Become A Reality
Christ For Veterans has been a dream and vision for almost two years. As the Holy Spirit showed many of us Christian Veterans how great the need was we responded with, "Whatever You require of us Lord."
The CFV Website is ready to launch and we are all excited to see how God moves to place us in the gap for Veterans who seek our help.
We pray that any Christian will see the need and pray for wisdom as we step out in faith to serve our Lord Jesus.
You can access the Web Site at ChristForVeterans.com .
Please let us know what you think, offer suggestions and most importantly, ask God if He wants you involved with the Ministry of Christ for Veterans.
Blessings from all of us at CFV!
